The term “Salsa Dura” gets used and abused sometimes without thought as to whom the term is being applied to. Sometimes musicians get into a rut of playing the same songs over and over and if the dancers aren’t into it that night even worse.
This is NOT the case with Willie! Willie inspires the dancers, his fellow musicians and anyone else near hearing range. The passion, grit, and “Matrix Level” soulfulness displayed in his performances is a sight to behold!!!
If Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel Comics were to meet Willie Alvarez, he would create a Super Hero and name him Willie “EL LOCO” Alvarez! “Y MIRA QUE DE LOCO NO TIENE NADA!!!!!”
