The Michael Rath light-weight mouthpieces were developed in 2016 to complement our already popular range. They maintain the same cup, throat and rim dimensions as our standard models but with a reduced external profile.

These mouthpieces will suit players who are looking for a quicker response through the dynamic range, increased feedback and more brilliance to the sound. They will work well for players whose embouchures are still developing, but also for more experienced players who would like to make the upper range that little bit easier. They would also be advantageous when played in smaller ensembles or used with lighter weight instrument set-ups.
