Alan studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Prior to joining WNO, Alan was Principal Bass Trombone with orchestras in Germany and South Africa. He has also played in shows including Copacabana, Evita, Scrooge and Oliver!, with big bands including Glenn Miller Orchestra, as well as other TV, radio, pop and session work.
