Musical instrument technician wanted

Musical instrument technician wanted

At Michael Rath Brass Musical Instruments, we pride ourselves on being the only trombone manufacturer in the UK. Over the last 25 years we have grown from the basement of a music shop in Bradford to a fully equipped workshop in the Holme Valley, producing what we believe to be some of the highest quality trombones available worldwide. All professional Michael Rath trombones are assembled by hand, polished, lacquered and finished in our workshop in Honley.

We are looking to hire a musical instrument technician to join our small and dedicated team.

The trainee role would initially involve the preparation of parts for the assembly process. Duties would include soldering, polishing and learning the various metalworking skills and machines we employ. Some metalworking experience is advantageous but not essential as all training will be given, and we would ask for a trial period of three months at the national living wage to ensure suitability for the role.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, and is open to anyone, young or old, musical or not, that would like to be part of a bustling workshop producing exceptional quality instruments played the world over. If you are interested, please send an introduction letter with a little bit about yourself and a CV to info@rathtrombones.com
