Mark Nightingale to perform at National Finals award ceremony

Rath Artist Mark Nightingale is to take to the stage at the 2026 National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, rounding off a busy day of music making in style.

Mark will be joined by Andy Wood and Peter Moore, as well as a star-studded trombone octet including fellow Rath Artist Jon Stokes.

Trivergence explores the unique strengths of each of the soloists across three diverse movements in a richly textured dialogue with the octet.

This event promises a compelling showcase of artistry, innovation, and collaboration - an unmissable opportunity to hear some of the UK’s foremost brass musicians in a programme that pushes the boundaries of trombone performance.

The prestigious event takes place on Saturday, October 3 in London's Royal Albert Hall and will see qualifiers from the various banding regions pit their musical wits against each other while performing Philip Sparke's A Road Less Travelled By.

Tickets are available on the Royal Albert Hall website.
