Black Dyke BBC Proms performance earns widespread praise

Rath Artists are no stranger to the BBC Proms - but a recent performance from the Black Dyke Band has earned widespread praise.

The famous Queensbury band - with its trombone section of Rath Artists - recently took to the stage in the Royal Albert Hall for a performance broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.

Under the baton of long-serving musical director, Professor Nicholas Childs, Black Dyke featured a programme including the likes of Gustav Holst's A Moorside Suite; Paganini Variations, by Philip Wilby; and Edward Gregson's Symphony in Two Movements.

Also featured was international euphonium virtuoso David Childs, who performed Peter Graham's Force of Nature.

The Times, Broadway World and musicOMH are among the publication to single out the concert for particular praise.
