Michael Dease - Clarity

Michael’s latest album “Clarity” features his original compositions performed by his sextet, Clarity CD highlighted by guests such as Eric Reed and Victor Goines on piano and tenor saxophone, respectively. The self-titled Dease Bones debut is also available on the AstrixWorld label and features contributions from many of today’s leading trombonists, including Wycliffe Gordon, Vincent Gardner, David Gibson and Joseph Alessi. Please visit Mike's website for more information.

"Whether it's the modern textures and vibe in the title cut "Clarity", the Steve Turre influenced "One for Steve", the beautiful ballad "Elusive", the totally swingin' and straight ahead Dease Bones CD "Top of the Morning", or the showcase for virtuosity in "Speak Low", Mike Dease proves himself to be at the vanguard of a new wave of trombone greats. His new CD "Clarity" features 10 wonderful arrangements for a killin' group of accomplished jazz artists. Mike is a powerful musician and this latest project is further proof that we will be hearing much more from him in the future."
